The first time I saw Eboni's blog, I was sold. One, I loved her sense of style and two she was wearing a pair of slammin' Carlos Santana shoes that I think made tears well up in my eyes lol. Since then I've been frequenting her blog for style inspiration and to see the outfit of the day. Today, the "fashionista next door" guides us through her own sense of style.

How would you describe your style?

When I was trying to come up with a name for my blog, I chose “The Fashionista Next Door” because I really thought it accurately described my style. It’s the girl next door with a kick! It’s eclectic, it’s daring, sometimes unexpected… but it’s not over the top.

What are some of your fashion must-haves?
My “must haves” change with the seasons…I suppose the one thing that always remains at the top of my list are sky high heels! Jeans, dress, skirt, shorts, whatever… a fabulous pair of heels makes an outfit…o oh and giant hoop earrings! Lol.

Do you like to go with the latest trends or play by your own rules?
A little of both…trends excite me. I look forward to hearing the trends forecast each season. I love seeing how designers interpret them and then putting my own spin on it…but at the end of the day fashion is not style. Trends come and go, but style is constant. Truly stylish people definitely play by their own rules… which means some trends just don’t make the cut and all trends are subject to interpetation

Is there anything you won't wear?
Nope. Those who read my blog know that I have coined this saying, “Never say never because all it takes is the RIGHT person, wearing the WRONG thing, the RIGHT way to make you change your mind.”
