LET ME KNOW

Over the past several weeks, I've been sharing weekly posts with you, hopefully that has inspired and encouraged you in some way. I would like to know how you've liked the posts so far. I would also like to know what you would like to see from Chronicles (i.e. topic ideas, features, the blog and Facebook page overall, etc..). [Note: My main focus is offering posts to the demographic of this blog: single, Christian, African-American women, ages 35 and up] All suggestions are welcome. Thank you for continuing to read and support Chronicles. I look forward to hearing from you.

*Please leave your responses here on the blog in the comement section, on Facebook at facebook.com/COAFW, or email me at coafw@yahoo.com.

Thank you and have a wonderful Wednesday.

MAKING ROOM

Hello and Happy Wednesday. This week I'm sharing another post that I shared on my personal Facebook account. I hope that it encourages and blesses you.

MAKING ROOM
Having some quiet time with the Lord and He put this on my heart: "You can't have little expectation and expect Me to do big things." God wants to MOVE in your life, but your expectancy needs to match (align with) the greater thing He has for you. He needs ROOM to move. The "room" here is your expectancy. What size room are you giving Him to move in? Are you giving Him a shack and He needs a warehouse? Are you giving Him a shack and He needs an arena? ENLARGE YOUR TERRITORY. Give God the room He needs to move in your life. And yes, the room you give Him may have to expand for every level that He takes you until you get to the promise. I hope this helps someone. This is a note to self and a note to anyone who needs it.

WHEN GOD WANTS TO SPEAK

Below is a post I recently shared on my personal Facebook account. I thought it worth sharing here as well. At the time of the post, two people who are dear to me and my family had passed away within a week's time, both unexpected.

I'm sharing the post below because some of you may have received some unexpected news that changed your week as well. I'm writing to share words of comfort, but also something to consider: sometimes we may not pause to consider what God is saying to us in our most difficult times. We may not realize that it's in those times that we may need to take some time with Him.

If you have received some unexpected news, I pray God's comfort and peace for you. I also pray that you take a moment to yourself and with God to see what He may be trying to say. Take a moment to read the post below that I recently shared on Facebook. I hope that it helps to give you the comfort and encouragement that you need.

WHEN GOD WANTS TO SPEAK
This has been a heavy week and, in general, there's so much going in this world, it can be very overwhelming. Sometimes we need to step back and take a break from the loads of information that we see everyday. Take a moment to be with ourselves to regroup, pray, decompress, and reevaluate things in our lives. Those dear to us are passing away, the news is filled with grief or something traumatic literally everyday. That can become taxing on the mind and heart. In times like these we must consider what God is saying to us. Do we consider our own salvation? Is He calling us to be closer to Him? Is He calling us to consider our purpose? Is He calling us to lay aside the things that burden us and appreciate and enjoy the things that bring us joy and happiness? A lot is happening in our lives and in this world daily. In these times it's easy to throw up our hands and wonder, "What's going on?" Take some time out for yourself to do some reevaluation, whatever that looks like to you. Let God speak to your heart and comfort you with His unconditional and eternal love. (Helpful scripture: 2 Corinthians 1:3-5; Psalm 94:19; Matthew 5:4)

OUR GREAT COMFORTER

Just a simple word today: God is our Great Comforter. He is with us in everything that we go through.
