2019: GETTING BACK TO YOUR GOALS

Hello and welcome to another weekly blog post here on COAFW. Today I simply want to encourage you to keep going forward with the goals that you set for the new year.

You may have set goals in January and by February the zeal that you had faded, or life itself may be have gotten in the way, and you got off track. Well, I'm here to encourage you to do whatever you need to do to accomplish the goals you set for this year. Below are some helpful tips.

GETTING BACK TO YOUR GOALS

1. START OVER- Yes, sometimes you may need to start over and "reset" so that you can move forward again to accomplish your goals.

2. GO TO GOD- Do you feel discouraged because you may have fallen off from your goals? Tell Him. Do you feel like throwing in the towel because things aren't going as you planned? Tell Him. Do you need a boost of energy or motivation to get you going again? Tell Him. Whatever it is, tell God how you feel. He wants to hear your heart and help you. But once you've shared your feelings, be sure to listen to His response.

3. LAY ASIDE THE WEIGHT- Remove the things that may be hindering you from going forward with your goals: doubt, fear, a self-defeating mindset, a negative environment, etc... Some things may need more time to remove than others, but as long as you take the first step and allow God to work in you, you will feel a bit lighter before you know it. ;-)

4. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF- You CAN do it. You WILL do it. You WILL see it. You WILL achieve it. No explanation needed. ;-)

5. TRUST GOD'S TIMING- Although you may have your plan and schedule for the goals that you want to achieve this year, always be submitted to God's timing. A delay in your achievement does not mean a denial. It's just an opportunity to trust God more.

I pray nothing but success for you this year. I pray that you reach your goals, trust God, stay prayerful and give Him the glory when it's all said and done.

Helpful scriptures: Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 6:33, Proverbs 3:5-6, Psalm 37:3-7
