WHAT ARE YOU GOOD AT?

When I thought about what I was going to post this week, I decided that I wanted to do something that showcased the gifts and talents of my readers. I love to see the gifts and talents that God has blessed others with. I'm going to begin with showcasing one of the talents that I've been blessed with: graphic design. I share my talents through my graphic design business, Audrey Does Design. I also love photography, planning and organizing, and my first love: writing (I actually love communication in all forms).

Once you have read the post for today, I'd love for you to share your gifts and talents. Have you turned your talents into a business? Feel free to share the link in the comment section here or on FB.

I look forward to seeing all of the gifts and talents from the Chronicles readers. Below are a few items that I've designed for various special occasions and events.  And yes, (shameless plug) if you need design services for your upcoming event or special occasion, contact me here. Audrey Does Design ships anywhere in the U.S.

Don't forget to share your gifts and talents. :-)

LOVE THEORY

Hello and Happy Wednesday :-) Kirk Franklin recently released a song called "Love Theory." I really liked the song from the first time I heard it. I thought I'd share it today. If you need a little pick-me-up today, this is a song for you. Have an awesome Wednesday.

DO YOU. BE YOU.

Hello and Happy Wednesday :-) Here is today's post for the week...

We can be influenced so much by the world we live in today. Specifically, in today's social media age, it's easy to get caught up in comparing ourselves to the images and posts we see on our own social media platforms, so much so that it can start to affect how we view our own lives and our own SELVES. If you've found yourself comparing your life to the lives that you see on social media, I have some encouraging words for you today in the message below. Always know that you are one of a kind and that God created you to be you. Your life's plan is not like anyone else's. Your purpose is not like anyone else's. Your life's plan and purpose are both good enough. I hope the message below will inspire you.

DO YOU. BE YOU.
In this world of social media where we have access to a highlight reel of everyone's life, we can be tempted to compare ourselves to the images that we see. We can compare ourselves to what appears to be a booming business, a flourishing relationship, or a financially astute life. These comparisons can be a detriment to the life and purpose that God has chosen us to live. Soon, we allow what we see in someone else's life to make us not value our own. If this is you, take some time out today and reflect on the life and purpose that God has set for you. Put your phone down and tune in to what God has for you, write down the vision that He's put on your heart, or take the step of faith that you've been needing to take. Take your eyes off of others and embrace the life that God has chosen for you. Do you. Be you. [Helpful scripture Psalm 139:13-16]

Have an awesome rest of the week.

I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
As always, I would love for you to share your thoughts on the weekly posts. You can do that by posting in the comment section here on the blog, on COAFW on Facebook, or by email at coafw@yahoo.com.

*Do You Be You is a message taken from a post that I shared at the end of last year on my business Instagram account. A great message that I thought could be shared here.

DON'T BEAT YOURSELF UP ABOUT IT, RECOVER FROM IT, AND GO GET IT

Hello and Happy Friday :-) I missed posting Wednesday. I've been a little busy and trying to mentally note things, including preparing a post, did not work. In any case, I want to keep my commitment of posting every week and today's post is simply this: if you missed it, don't beat yourself up about it, recover from it. The "it" can be anything: getting off track from a commitment you made to yourself, the goals that you had set for this year not going as you planned, falling off from maintaining self care (working out, diet, "me" time, etc...).

Whatever your "it" is, if you missed it, don't beat yourself up about it, recover from it. You can always get back to your goals, you can always get back on track with the plans you had for this year (Note: Sometimes when things don't go as planned, it may be God getting our attention. In our efforts to attain the thing we want most, we may need to take a moment to spend some time with Him to regroup, decompress, gain clarity, etc...), and you can always restart your self care.

As you go into the weekend, think about the "it" that you may have missed. The "it" can be from this week, last week, last month, last year - whenever. Give yourself the chance to regroup and get back on track. Whatever you made your commitment to, is yours. Now get yourself together and go get it. ;-)

Have an awesome weekend,
Audrey
